Reunify Foundations was established to support families navigating complex life transitions with structure, neutrality, and care. The organization provides supervised parenting time, reunification support, and family-centered services designed to promote safety, stability, and long-term well-being.
Shayla Simpson is a mediator and community advocate with a background in human resources and organizational development, bringing experience supporting individuals and families across multiple systems. Her mediation work through the Minnesota Judicial Branch includes family court matters, Orders for Protection (OFP), divorce, child visitation and custody, housing, and community restorative services in schools. Her approach is grounded in maintaining respectful, balanced, and solution-focused environments where people feel heard and supported.
Her work is informed not only by professional experience, but also by lived experience growing up and witnessing the challenges that can affect family dynamics, access to resources, and system navigation. These experiences shaped her commitment to creating supportive, structured, and accessible services for families facing change, including divorce, custody and visitation transitions, and incarceration-related separation.
Shayla is also deeply committed to justice, prison transformation, family reentry, and family union. She is passionate about supporting individuals returning to society and strengthening family connections impacted by incarceration. She believes that successful transitions within families and communities require consistency, compassion, accountability, and a village of people who care.
Through Reunify Foundations, Shayla is committed to providing services that are professional, consistent, and grounded in accountability while remaining compassionate and accessible. Her work focuses on meeting families where they are and supporting them through the many changes they may face—helping them move toward healthier communication, stronger relationships, and more stable outcomes.
